Description: Written on the front page of theis photograph is "Company Battalion 2, U.S.N. [Navy] Hospital Corps School (Women's Reserve), Bethesda, Maryland." The women standing in formation are WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service—U.S. Navy) and wear the standard short sleeve t-shirt, regulation WAVES tie, and the standard WAVES white skirt with a unique ironed fold. They all wear the identical white hat cover and blue cap ribbon.
