Description: Mary Catherine Dickson is pictured typing at a desk, in 1943.
On the wall behind her hangs art depicting men in battle. A note on the back of the photo indicates that Dickson has been assigned to the Southern Procurement Division of the Marine Corps in the public relations office in Atlanta, Ga., having recently completed her recruit training at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
