Description: Lieutenant Colonel Kathryn Wirkus receives a flag during the flag folding ceremony at her retirement, circa 2005. The flag had been flown over the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Capitol in honor of her retirement. Wirkus wears the air force service dress uniform and the Meritorious Service medal, which she also received during the ceremony.
