Description: Ruth Shaver looks through an index card file box while sitting at her desk in Cleveland in 1943. The caption of the official Army photograph reads, "As head of the personnel department, Lt. Ruth Shaver of Norwalk, Ohio, keeps track of 150 WAAC officers and enrolled members, here for the Greater Cleveland Drive." Shaver wears the WAC olive drab service uniform.
