Description: Recruiting poster for the WAAC (Women's Army Auxiliary Corps), 1943. Illustration by Albro F. Downe and Michael Ramus depicts a WAAC radio operator at typewriter receiving a message from an American soldier who is hiding in the grass. The text of the radiogram reads "To all qualified women- everywhere, all states, USA- Meet total war with your total effort...Join the WAAC." 25 inches x 38 inches.
