The identification label on the front of this diary has been partially removed, but indicates it could have possibly belonged to a woman with the surname Campbell. As the diary spends very little time discussing her work, it is impossible to determine the exact details of her occupation, however, it appears that she worked with the army, not as a nurse, but as part of a group of fifty women and twenty men who accompanied the army to France in 1918. The writer mentions doing office work several times in this diary, but for the most part, this book contains information about her trip across the Atlantic, sightseeing, dating, and attending social functions in war torn France.
