"This souvenir program was printed for the Fifth Annual Picnic of the collective Cone Mills, (Proximity Manufacturing Co., White Oak Cotton Mills, and the Revolution Cotton Mills) held in 1909.  This booklet includes programs for musical performances by the White Oak Band, and the Proximity Band, the Revolution Band, a magic act and a comprehensive picnic menu.  There are also photos and illustrations of Ceasar Cone, the White Oak School, and each of the mills.

This program documents the sixth annual picnic (July 2, 1910) for the employees of the Revolution Cotton Mills, Proximity Manufacturing Company, and White Oak Cotton Mills. Two pages list the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners for a contest for “best front yards and neatly kept premises” which was presented to residents of each mill community. There is a photo of a possible winner on another page and photos of the Revolutionary Mill, and the White Oak School. The program details all the musical performances, names of addressers, and the delicious dinner menu. (JS)

This is a bound collection of handwritten and typed letters addressed to “Members of Ceasar Cone Family” or “Herman Cone Family” etched in appreciation for securing the deposits of the Textile Bank of the North Carolina Bank and Trust Company after depositors lost money when that bank closed in 1929. All dated letters were composed between September 4th and 8th, 1933.
