Rand Manzella was a union activist and one of several Communist Workers Party (CWP) supporters arrested for inciting to riot following the November 3, 1979 Death to the Klan march that took place in Greensboro and left five of the protesters dead (also known as the Greensboro Massacre). Charges against Manzella and the other CWP members were eventually dropped.
