The Quaker, 1974
Guilford College, a Quaker-supported four-year liberal arts school in Greensboro, N.C., was chartered in 1834 and opened in 1837 as New Garden Boarding School.
The 1974 Guilford College yearbook, The Quaker, highlights the involvement of African Americans in the campus community. Included are photos of African American professors, administrators, students, and staff, and a portrait of student organization, Brothers and Sisters in Blackness (BASIB).
