Description:
The 1961 Guilford College yearbook, The Quaker, reflects an increased religious diversity on campus. The establishment of the Jewish Hillel society and the Catholic Neuman Club shows an increased population of non-Protestant students, which is a departure from the college's original population. Also included is a candid photo of African Americans exchanging gifts, although the context is unclear.
