Description:
The 1960 Guilford College yearbook, The Quaker, contains many examples of students in talent shows and other school events using race as entertainment. The most prominent of these is a white male student in black-face carrying a portrait of a white female student. Also included are white students adding “a little Oriental influence” to an event by dressing up in costume.
