Description:
The 1952 Guilford College yearbook, The Quaker, pictures far fewer examples of diversity than some of the previous years. There is a junior photograph of Melba Rosa Gorgas of Cuba, notable for the political context of the time period. Also notable is a candid shot of four white women in a dorm with a Confederate flag hanging on the wall in the background.
