The Robert W. Watson Manuscripts date from 1948 to 1980 and contain manuscripts, typescripts, publisher's proofs and galleys, clippings, correspondence, photographs, and reviews. His manuscripts include poems, novels, lectures, essays, short stories, and reviews. Also included is correspondence, mainly with publishers. Materials included in this project relate to several articles Watson wrote about the 1979 Death to the Klan march in Greensboro that left five protestors dead, along with reader responses to those articles.
