Pine Needles, the student-produced yearbook for The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, was first published in 1920, when the school was called North Carolina College for Women. It ceased publication in 1993. The University Archives maintains a complete run of the yearbook, while copies are also available in the Jackson Library’s general stack.
Items selected for this project include sample pages from yearbooks dating from 1965 to 1977 that help to document integration of the school, race relations, and student activism concerning civil rights activities in the larger Greensboro community.
