Image Scanning Services

Scanning of materials housed in Special Collections & Rare Books will only be allowed when the original will not be damaged during scanning.

Please provide the following specifications when requesting digital scans:

Image output size
Jpeg [*.jpg] file format or Tiff [*.tif] file format
Resolution (pixels per inch or dpi)


Cost:

Scan image$5.00 per image
Burning image(s) to a CD*$5.00
Postage [Within continental US]$5.00

*It has been our experience that attaching images to e-mails does not work on many e-mail systems. It is our policy now to burn all images to a CD and mail the CD.

Photocopy Services

Photocopying of the materials housed in Special Collections & Rare Books will only be allowed when the original will not be damaged during the photocopying process. No more than 10% of a collection can be photocopied.

Cost:

8-1/2” x 11” bond paper$0.10 per page
8-1/2” x 14” bond paper$0.10 per page
11” x 17” bond paper$0.20 per page

Payment


Payment for photocopying and scanning must be received before order will be shipped. Checks, postal money orders or money orders should be made payable to Jackson Library and sent to:

Conditions for photocopying and scanning materials

We will make photocopies and scans within ten (10) working days or sooner if possible. If you have special requests, we will do our best to accommodate you.

It is responsibility of the user to follow the copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code). More information can be obtained from the United State Copyright Office. Any materials used from any of our collections should be fully credited with the source.
