Early Juvenile Literature Collection

The Early Juvenile Literature Collection complements both the Lois Lenski Collection of Early Children's Books and the Girls Books in Series Collection for it includes earlier works, foreign titles, and titles of interest to both boys and girls. The collection focuses on books written for children ranging from a facsimile of Table Manners for Children, originally published in 1476, to works published in the early 20th century. The collection numbers approximately 900 volumes. Some of the strengths include toy books, children's magazines, primers, etiquette guides, chapbooks, and miniature books.

You may search the collection through Jackson Library's online catalog.
