Rudolf Matz Cello Music Collection
Rudolf Matz (1901-1988) was a Croatian cellist, composer, conductor, and pedagogue. He taught at the Zagreb Academy of Music, was a member of the Zagrebacki Trio and the string quartet SKLAD, and conducted the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra, the Music Society of Intellectuals, the Croatian Singing Societies' Association, and the Zagreb Physicians' Choir. His collection of 600 music scores and 8 linear feet of archival materials (more than 2,000 items) is housed in the Special Collections Division of Jackson Library at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The Matz Collection of Cello Music has been cataloged and can be searched through Jackson Library's online catalog.
