Citing a book in MLA style

Step One:
Type the author's name in the blank below.
Step Two:
Type the title in the blank below.
Step Three:
Type the place of publication in the blank below.
Step Four:
Type the publisher's name in the blank below.
Step Five:
Type the publication year in the blank below.
Here are the rules:
- Lastname, Firstname.
- Give the name as it appears on the title page.
- Do not abbreviate a name given on the title page in full.

Examples?
Sullivan, Danny.
Nixon, Richard.

- Take the title from the title page.
- Give the full title, and separate title from subtitle with a colon (:).
- Capitalize first, last, and important words.
- End with a period.
- Underline the title.

Death of a Salesman.
Storytelling and Mythmaking: Images from Film and Literature.

- Find the place of publication on the title page.
- If more than one city is listed, use only the first.
- Follow the city with a colon.

New York:

- Find the publisher's name from the title page.
- Follow the name with a comma.
- Use UP for University Presses.

- Find the publication year from the title page, or use the most recent copyright year from the back of the title page
- Follow the year with a period.
