The University Libraries

UNCG Staff & Organizations, & Non-UNCG Groups

Maybe you work on campus and would like to learn your way around the library. Or perhaps your department has a special research project planned and needs some expert advice on where to begin.  The Jackson Library Reference Department offers several options for UNCG staff and non-UNCG groups.

Orientation Tours

At the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters, we offer orientation tours featuring the  most important services and departments in the library, scheduled for groups and individuals by request. You can sign up for a tour online!

UNCG Staff and Organizations

UNCG individuals and groups can schedule appointments with a reference librarian for expert research assistance. You can benefit greatly from a librarian's guidance and advice. Contact the reference desk to schedule an appointment.

Non-UNCG Groups

Librarians are also happy to work with groups from off campus as time and resources permit. Most commonly, the groups who take advantage of this opportunity are upper-level high school classes working on research papers. Interested teachers should contact Mark Schumacher at 334-3215 or the reference desk to discuss possibilities with a reference librarian.
