Requirements:
- LIS620: Information Sources and Services (or taking this class during the first semester of your proposed internship);
- Working a minimum of 10 hours a week;
- Working a late-evening shift once a week (until midnight Sun-Thurs, or until 10pm Friday or Saturday);
- Committing to at least two semesters of work;
- Attending the weekly, hour-long training sessions your first two semesters as an intern;
- An outgoing service attitude;
- Solid technology skills;
- Intellectual curiosity.
Human Resources restrictions:
- Usually, students are not allowed to work as a graduate assistant and as a student worker (like our internships) at the same time. However, the Dean of the Graduate School can make exceptions (and usually does).
- SPA (staff) employees at UNCG are not allowed to also work as student workers. However, a SPA employee could consider a reference intern practicum.
