Student Data Profile
- Allows you to make custom reports covering one or two demographic values.
- Housing, residency status, and other demographic values are also available.
UNCG Fact Book
- Provides descriptions and data on the faculty, staff, and students.
- Includes gender, age, and race/Hispanic data
Campus Surveys
- View student ratings on campus services.
- Survey results can be broken down by sex, race, etc.

- This info is not published.
- Consider interviewing managers from the campus stores, food courts, etc. to learn about this.

A powerful mapping database for demographic and specialized marketing data, down to the census block group level.
- Also creates tables.
- Each user accesses SimplyMap through a "personal workspace"; you will need to create an account the first time you use the database; workspaces can be shared.
- Includes Mediamark Research (MRI) data, covering usage and consumption for thousands of products, including actual brand data, details of frequency of usage, and more.

- A good, general source, with an emphasis on retail sales data.
- This book provides rankings by region, state, and MSA; demographics by county; retail sales by store groups and merchandise lines; 5-year projections; consumer buying power by county; and establishment and employment data by county.

- Zip code-level data.

- Not available online. The Consumer Expenditure Survey is, but provides less detailed data. (example of CES data by age)

D. NAICS: North American Industrial Classification System
- NAICS homepage
- Pronounced "nakes," NAICS codes are numbers that classify industries (i.e. business activities, like types of manufacturing, retail, and services).
- NAICS codes are hierarchical -- the longer the number, the more detailed the industry. NAICS codes are up to six digits long.
- NAICS is the modern version of the old SIC structure.
