Public Opinion Polling
Roper Center For Public Opinion Research- Archive of public opinion polling data from major polling organizations and media sources.
- iPoll contains nearly 400,000 questions and responses from national public opinion surveys.

World Development Indicators Online- Provides statistics on countries.
- Covers 550 indicators for over 200 countries and 18 county groups, from 1960 to one year ago.
- Includes social, economic, financial, natural resource, and environmental data.
- Results can be exported to a spreadsheet.

- Provides marketing data and reports on countries, companies, markets, and consumers from over 200 countries.
- Data can be sorted and downloaded in Microsoft Excel format.

- Data can be ranked.
- Data can be downloaded into Excel, or formatted into a PDF file for printing.
- Covers U.S. population, age, race and ethnicity, income, housing, employment characteristics, and consumer expenditures.
- Provides data for census block-groups, census tracts, zip codes, cities, urban areas, counties, and states, as well as custom radiuses defined by the user.
- Areas can be compared and ranked.

- The Census' search engine for population, housing, and economic data.
- You can search by state, city, county, or zip code, or just browse data for the entire U.S.
- Covers the 2000 Census, American Community Survey (annual data), the Economic Census, and more.
- Statistical Warehouse and SimplyMap provide more search, ranking, and/or mapping options.
Inter-university Consortium for Social and Political Research (ICPSR)
- Archive of over 6,500 studies and 450,000 numeric data files covering a wide range of social science research.
- Most data downloads include SPSS, SAS, and Stata setup files.
- Data downloads may require free account registration.
- Series of representative samples drawn from the U.S. censuses of 1850 to 2000 and the Puerto Rican censuses of 1910 to 2000.
- Includes American Community Survey (ACS) data from 2000 to 2006.
Mapping
SimplyMap- A web-based mapping database for developing thematic maps -- and reports -- using thousands of demographic, business, and marketing data variables.
- Each user accesses SimplyMap through a "personal workspace"; you will need to create an account the first time you use the database.
- Provides useful video tutorials.
- Covers census block-groups, census tracts, zip codes, cities, counties, states, and the entire United States.
- Includes Mediamark Research (MRI) data, covering usage and consumption for thousands of products, including actual brand data, details of frequency of usage, and more.
- Use the "Create Query" tab to combine two or more variables, ex. income data and racial data.
- Data can be exported and maps can be printed.
