SocIndex with Full Text (SIFT)
- Provides full text for a wide variety of sociological journals, conference papers, and books.
- Comprehensive coverage of a range of sociological topics, including rural-urban sociology, social work, etc.
Business Source Premier
- Primarily a business database, but good coverage of nonprofit issues especially related to management of nonprofits.
Academic Search Premier
- Our biggest interdisciplinary database. Always a good inclusion in your research process.

- Online catalog for federal government publications.
- Goes from 1976 onwards.
LexisNexis Congressional Universe
- Provides fulltext information published by and about the United States Senate and House of Representatives.
- Useful for locating bills, laws, legislative histories, hearings and more.
- Only available to persons affiliated with UNCG.
Thomas
- Provided free by the Library of Congress.
- Provides access to congressional floor activities and debates (Congressional Record), congressional bills, acts, and much more.

UNCG Library Catalog
- Most NC state documents available through the depository system and in the UNCG library catalog.

Google US Government Search
- Retrieves federal, state, and local government websites with mostly .gov and .mil domains. Does include some select .com and .edu government sites (e.g., usps.com or ndu.edu)
- Good supplement to CGP, but only harvesting latest digitally born government publications.

- Jackson Library's website with thousands of federal, state, local, and international government links.
UNCG Data Services
- Jackson Library's website with more sources of federal, state, and international data and statistics. Plus tutorials on SPSS.
American FactFinder
- Provides access to Census Bureau data
- Offers prepackaged population, economic, housing, and geographic data products and user-selected data tables and maps from Census 2000, 1990 Census, the 1997 and 2002 Economic Censuses, the American Community Survey and more.
- Data may be available in the form of maps, tables, and reports.
Log Into North Carolina
- LINC provides statistical data on North Carolina
- Includes statistics in population and housing, vital statistics, social and human services, energy, government, employment and income, and more.
- Data comes from state and federal agencies. Good one stop shop for basic data needs on NC.

EndNote
EndNote is a citation management software available in desktop or web versions. If you have questions, please ask Lynda or at the Reference Desk. Also, it is still your responsibility to check the citations against the APA Guide (or whatever style guide you are using) to keep from turning in incorrect citations!

Importing citations from a database on the EBSCOhost platform:
Export records directly into EndNote:
- It is best to start with EndNote open in a new tab in the same browser. If you need assistance with this, please contact the reference department.
- Choose a reference using Add to folder link.
- Choose the Folder link
- Within the Folder, check the box next to each reference and choose Export
- On the next screen, choose Direct Export to EndNote Web then hit the Save button
- If you are logged into EndNote Web already, the EndNote screen will open and import your references automatically. If you are not logged into EndNote Web, it will send you to the log in screen.
- To see your references, click My References and [Unfiled].
- Click a reference title to view the entire entry.
