Skype is a Voice-over-IP (VoIP) communication tool that can take the place of a conventional telephone or videochat. It allows clear conversation between Internet-connected computer users anywhere in the world. You can call us, video chat with a librarian or IM us for free using your Skype account.
We currently hold Skype hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm when we are available.
We plan on expanding our hours in the future, but if you have questions or would like to schedule a videochat appointment, please email Hannah Winkler in the Jackson Library Reference Department.

To contact a reference librarian through Skype, you will need to download the free Skype software onto your computer. To videochat with a librarian you must have a microphone and/or webcam.
