International Government Information

International information on the internet is available through a wide variety of resources such as official government organizations, non-profit agencies, academic institutions, and commercial sites. These webpages use a mixture of these resources to provide listings of international organizations, country overviews, and subject guides to international information.


Guides and Overviews to Foreign Nations
Information from the State Department, CIA, Library of Congress, US Census Bureau, and the Institute of Latin American Studies.

Embassy Information
United States' missions abroad, foreign diplomatic missions, and other diplomatic information.

United Nations Information
UN home page, alphabetical site index, and the official UN web directory.

Foreign Government Links
Northwestern University's foreign governments site, the CIA's online directory of Chiefs of State and Cabinet Members of Foreign Governments , State Department "Background Notes" on foreign countries, Yahoo's links to foreign countries and governments, Gunnar Anzinger's Governments on the WWW, Canadian government Internet information, and links to web pages from the United Kingdom.

News and Newspapers Online
A free service of Jackson Library, this page includes links to newspapers in the USA, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, Oceania, Antarctica, and Africa.

International Information by Subject
This page offers links to international information grouped by category. Most links are to sites provided by government organizations. When the link is to a non-government site, the agency's affiliations will be explained in the description.

International Statistics
