Council of Europe

European Court of Human Rights

• Source: European Court of Human Rights
• Mission: make decisions on petitions from States, individuals, groups of people, or non-governmental organizations claiming their rights under the European Convention on Human Rights have been violated

Human Rights Watch

• Mission: protect political freedom, academic freedom, human rights; and investigate violations of human rights and the treatment of prisoners

International Labour Organization (ILO)

• Mission: as a UN specialized agency, it advocates social justice, human rights, and labour rights
• Contents: Free ILO databases including the topics of ILO publications; labour standards, laws, and analysis of laws; labour terminology in multiple languages; addresses of ILO offices; and labour articles. Also access to ILO historical archives and links to related organizations

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees

• Mission: protect the rights of refugees to seek asylum or to return to their countries
