Instructors place on reserve required and heavy demand materials for students in specific courses. Reserve materials may be print materials such as library books, books owned by instructors or photocopies; or they maybe eReserves...electronic versions of required readings, solutions, etc.
To find print reserve materials, click the Reserves link on the Library web page then choose the Search for Items on Reserve link under the Book/Print Reserves heading. View the Instructions link for directions. Another way to locate print reserve materials online is to title or keyword search the material in the Library Catalog. Print Reserves are available at the Access Services Desk in Jackson Library with the exception of Music reserves which are available in the Music Library.
eReserves are delivered in UNCG Blackboard. To find out how to log into Blackboard and view them, click the Reserves link on the Library web page and look under the heading Electronic Reserves. A link to the Blackboard log in page is provided as well as a link to instructions. No print copies of eReserves are kept on reserve.
Additionally, course notebooks are available at the Access Services Desk. You may look up your class using the departmental abbreviation and number to find listings that include call numbers, loan periods, and titles of all print materials on reserve for a course as well as to determine if readings are available as eReserves.
