What are eReserves
?
Please Note: Some documentation requires a free Microsoft Office Reader. Please select the appropriate reader and download it from the Microsoft web site. Each Office file type link is labelled as such.
- The eReserve system provides 24/7 access via the web to course materials
required in support of the UNCG curriculum.
- Access to these materials is through Blackboard
at UNCG and is limited to the students, faculty and staff of UNCG.
- eReserve documents are stored in Adobe PDF (portable document format)
format.
- Access to these documents is available through a web browser
- Viewing and printing ereserve documents requires the use of the free
Adobe Acrobat Reader
- It is intended that all ereserves will be viewed and printed for personal
use only
- Photocopied documents submitted for ereserve must meet the criteria contained
in the Guidelines for Photocopies
for Reserves and eReserves
- Photocopies are scanned using a high-speed scanner with a document feeder
in black and white mode, binary color format, at 200 dots per inch. When
printed these documents look exactly like the original photocopies. They
cannot be edited or reformatted for print by the user. Viewed electronically
they look different from the original photocopies due to screen resolution
settings. To enhance electronic viewing, enlarge the print size.
- The Reserve Staff adds pdf
files to the Blackboard eReserves folders of all courses. Instructors
do not have access to these folders and cannot add or edit the files stored
in them. The eReserve folder tab appears in courses only after the
Reserve staff adds it. Additionally, you course must be enabled.
If your course is not enabled, we will do one of the following based upon
your preference as indicated on your reserve form:
