Electronic Reserves Viewing & Printing Tips
Back to Search Results
These tips are intended to make the use of Electronic Reserves (E-Reserves) a bit easier. See the Frequently Asked Questions page for more detailed information.
- You don't have to be in the library to access E-Reserves. You can also access them from computer labs on campus or through your home computer.
- You must have the free Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to view and print E-Reserves. [ additional information ]
- All E-Reserve documents are also available at the
Current Periodicals/Reserve Desk if you wish to photocopy them instead. If you are already in the library, this may be the quickest option.
- To read most E-Reserve documents on the computer screen you will need to enlarge the image in Acrobat Reader. Click on the magnifying glass on the Acrobat Reader menu bar (just above the page image), then click on the part of the document you wish to enlarge until it is readable. You can also specify a page magnification (e.g., 200%) using the image size selection option near the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Printing E-Reserve documents may take several minutes depending upon the size of the file. Each page is a separate image as opposed to a string of text, therefore your printer must print each page as an image, which usually takes longer than a standard text document.
