Requests for Missing Materials

Patrons who cannot find items in the stacks should ask at the Access Services Desk for assistance. The Staff at the desk will:

Once a Search Request card has been filled out, the staff will search for the missing item for a minimum of six weeks. As soon as the item is found, it will be placed on hold for the requesting patron who will receive email notification. If the patron has no email account, the patron will be notified by mail. The item will be on hold at the Access Services Desk for 7 days from the date found.

Patrons who do not wish to wait for the Search process, are encouraged to ask the staff about obtaining needed materials through other libraries..

In the event that the item is not found at the end of six searches, the patron will be informed by email; mail if not email address is available.  All items which cannot be located will be considered for re-order.
