<head>Biographical Note</head>
<p>Lauretta Webster Wilkin served in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC) and the Women's Army Corps (WAC) during World War II. She completed basic training at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in early 1943 and served in the drafting department at the Army Port of Los Angeles in Wilmington, California, from May 1943 to 1945. She married George Wilkin in late 1944.</p>
