 Biographical Note

Genevieve Crick served in the Women's Army Corps in 1944 and 1945 as a public relations officer in Camp White, Oregon, before transferring to Santa Barbara, California, to be trained in call signs for overseas radio operation. While in Santa Barbara she took college courses at night and trained during the day. During her time in the service she became engaged to Master Sergeant Leonard Levy of the 9th Service Command in the Intelligence and Security Branch of the U.S. Army, whom she met at Camp White.
