War Diary 1918 -
Sept. 28 -- Sat. -- Conference at 9:30 A.M. Capt. Carson gave instructions to those going overseas. Another conference at 2:00 P.M. and Miss Gunther, who had been to France gave us a talk on conditions there, etc. Instructed to meet at Union Station, Washington, D.C. at 10 P.M. At 10 P.M. all were there, forty girls and twenty boys, under command of Capt. Carson + Capt. Mahoney. At eleven o'clock, we boarded train for N.Y. and went to bed. Sept. 29 -- Sun. -- Arrived in N.Y. at 6:30 A.M. dressed + went to Penn Sta. for breakfast. Breakfast over, we walked to Hudson (illegible)
