Abstract

Jessie Rosenberg Schell is a freelance writer who received both her bachelor's degree and an MFA in creative writing from UNCG. This collection contains an undated draft copy of her 1977 novel, Sudina.

Biographical Note

Jessie Rosenberg was born in 1941, and grew up in Mississippi Delta country. She received her BA. in English from Woman’s College (now UNCG) in 1963 and her MFA in creative writing from UNCG in 1971. In 1966 her first published poems appeared in the Atlantic and New Campus Writing. She is a freelance writer and is married to David Schell.

Description of Collection

The typescript for her novel, Sudina, (Dutton, 1967 and Avon, 1977) is 146 numbered leaves with corrections.  It is not dated and differs slightly from the published version.
