<head>Biographical Note</head>
<p>Ellen Mark Bush of Charleston, West Virginia, attended the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now UNCG) from 1946 to 1950.  She was a member of the Adelphian Society.  During her freshman year she was in the Playlikers and the Square Circle.  During her sophomore year she was a member of the Playlikers, Square Circle and Masqueraders.  During her junior year she was a member of the Playlikers, the Square Circle, the Masqueraders and a Proctor.  Her senior year she was a member of the Playlikers, World Federalist, the Square Circle, Masqueraders, the  YWCA, Pine Needles and Wardrobe Mistress.  She graduated in 1950 with a A.B. in History.  </p>

<head>Collection Overview</head>
<p>The first scrapbook contains items dating from 1946-1947. It contains University programs and forms, photographs, hand-drawn drawings, advertising memorabilia, tickets, cards and invitations.  The second book dates from 1947-1950.  It includes receipts, clippings, tickets, drawings, newspaper clippings, graded papers, photographs, letters, Class Day Program of 1948, Commencement Program of 1950, Class Day Program of 1950 and the Baccalaureate Sermon of 1950.</p>
