<head>Biographical Note</head>
<p>Edythe Ellis of Wilmington, North Carolina, attended the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now UNCG) and was a member of the Cornelian Society.  During her freshman year she was a member of the Spanish Club, and the College Chorus.  Her sophomore year she was a member of the Spanish Club and the College Chorus also.  Her junior year she played basketball, was a member of the <title render="italic">Pine Needles</title> Staff, Junior-Senior Figure Chairman and Society Dance Chairman.  Her senior year she served as <title render="italic">Pine Needles</title> Staff, House President, President of the Cornelian Society and Student Activities Committee.  She graduated in 1935 with a B.S. degree in Secretarial Administration.

<p>The scrapbook is annotated in black ink throughout and contains correspondence, newspaper clippings, invitations, postcards, booklets and telegrams.  Some of the booklets include the <title render="doublequote">Booklet Constitution By-Laws and Regulations 1934-1935</title> by the Student Government Association and the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina's student handbook for 1934-1935.
