<head>Biographical Note</head>
<p>Jean Booth of Oxford, North Carolina, attended the North Carolina State Normal and Industrial College (now UNCG) from 1907-1909.  Jean was a member of the Cornelian Society, Critic of her Class during the Spring Term of 1908, Vice-President of her class during the Fall Term of 1908, Historian of her class during the 1908-1909 year and Editor of the Carolinean during the 1908-1909 year. </p>

<head>Collection Overview</head>
<p><title render="italic">The Girl Graduate: Her Own Book</title> scrapbook was published by the Reilly and Britton Co. of Chicago.  Booth annotated in black ink throughout the book.  The scrapbook includes photographs, newspaper clippings, cards, invitations, autographs, receipts, and programs.  The programs include play and music programs, Commencement Exercises of 1909 and Class Day Exercises of 1909.
