<p>
<persname normal="Carroll, Ruth">Ruth Robinson Carroll</persname> <date>(1899-1999)</date> and <persname normal="Carroll, Latrobe">"Archer" Latrobe Carroll</persname> <date>(1894-1996)</date> together wrote many books for children, with illustrations done by Ruth. They received the Juvenile Award of the <corpname>American Association of University Women</corpname>, North Carolina chapter in 1953 for their book <title render="italic">Peanut</title>, and in 1955 for <title render="italic">Digby the Only Dog</title>. They lived in Asheville, North Carolina.
