Mission
The mission of University Archives & Manuscripts is to collect, preserve, organize, and make accessible the often unique or rare materials that document the history of our university and the Piedmont Triad region, as well as the history of women in the United States military.

Scope
Manuscripts: The UNCG Manuscripts collection policy concentrates on documenting the historical, cultural, business and political heritage of the North Carolina Piedmont Triad. Some of our collecting concentrations include creative writing, civil rights, women's studies, theatre, historical nursing, physical education, and dance.
University Archives: The University Archives is the repository for the historical records of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Materials date from the founding of the University in 1891 and include the records of the presidents and chancellors, Boards of Trustees, faculty and student committees, societies and organizations, and many of the University's academic departments and administrative offices.
Women Veterans Historical Collection: The Women Veterans Historical Collection documents the female experience in the Armed Forces through letters, papers, photographs, published materials, uniforms, artifacts, and oral histories.
