Wind, Sand and Stars is a classic collection of essays by a French pilot and author who compares the experience of flying to the human condition. My oldest son, who is a pilot and US Army aviator, suggested this as a tribute to the unconquerable human spirit. I dedicate this book to both my sons, Jeffrey and Andy, who are the lights of my life.
