My title here at Jackson Library is Office Assistant IV, which may sound straightforward enough, but my job duties are extremely varied. The nature of this position dictates that I have to have a lot of flexibility, both figuratively and sometimes literally. I think this is one of the main reasons why I enjoy being here in the Library. There is absolutely no telling what I may be asked to help out with or do, and with a couple of exceptions, it's usually something interesting, challenging, and maybe even a little fun. I started working here in March of 1997, and have enjoyed the campus atmosphere and the Library itself. In case you're wondering what some of my normal, everyday job duties are, here is a list:
When I'm not here, I enjoy spending time with my family. My son plays for a challenge soccer team in Jamestown, and my daughter is a cheerleader. Those two things alone keep my wife and I pretty busy. We love going to Disney World, which is pretty obvious considering we've been six times since 1999. I also enjoy going on ski trips, preferably somewhere out west, with my friends. So far I've skied at Breckenridge, Vail, and Whistler.
