Full Text Databases
- Full text of hundreds of e-journals covering science, technology, medicine, and to a lesser extent, social sciences
- Useful for earth sciences, environment, ecology, remote sensing, GIS, and some aspects of urban planning

Academic Search Premier (EBSCO)
- Our largest scholarly, multi-disciplinary, full text database.
- Abstracts and indexes over 7,900 journals (over 6,175 of those are peer-reviewed).
- Provides the full text of over 4,500 journals (over 3,600 of those are peer-reviewed).
- Covers general geography topics, urban studies, earth sciences, city planning, and weather.
- Dates of coverage: varies by title; full-text for more than a third of the journals dating back to 1990

- Mix of 2,500 scholarly and popular journals, many full text, from a wide range of subject disciplines including geography, urban studies and earth sciences

Other Databases
- Indexes more than 8,100 peer-reviewed science and social science journals cover-to-cover, providing complete bibliographic data, full-length author abstracts, and cited references.
- The citation databases contain the references cited by the authors of the journal articles they cover. You can use these cited references as search terms. A cited reference search enables you to use a published work that you know to find other, later works that cite it.
- In addition to cited reference searching, you can search these databases by topic, author, source title, and address.
- Indexes articles, bibliographies, book reviews, editorials, letters, meeting abstracts, notes, review papers, reviews of software, and more
- Includes Social Sciences Citation Index and Science Citation Index

Humanities and Social Science Retrospective
- Indexes the core scholarly, English-language journals published between 1907 and 1984
- Includes citations to more than 1 million articles, including book reviews.
Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals
- A comprehensive listing of journal articles published worldwide on architecture and design, archaeology, city planning, interior design, and historic preservation.
- Indexes not only the international scholarly and popular periodical literature, but also the publications of professional associations, US state and regional periodicals, and the major serial publications on architecture and design of Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Australia.
- Coverage is from the 1930s (with selective coverage dating back to the 1860s) to the present.
- More than a million records with abstracts covering cartography, geology, climatology, geography, urban planning, regional studies, and remote sensing
- International in scope
- Includes books, journal articles, conference proceedings, reports and dissertations

- Selects, gathers, edits, and links a wide range of resources, many of them full-text, that are available online in earth science, astronomy and biology. Offers links to web sites for conferences, seminars, books and journal articles from around the world. Also includes data sets, teaching activities, teaching resources, and current issues discussions

Digital Sanborn Maps, 1867-1970
- Provides 11,173 large-scale maps of 158 cities in North Carolina. The maps can be viewed in different sizes and scales.
- The Sanborn maps were created for fire insurance companies. The maps are drawn at a scale of 50 feet to an inch.
- The maps can be useful for urban studies, social history, architecture, geography, genealogy, etc.

- Over 3 million records covering every major agricultural subject including forestry, ecology, natural resources, water resources and soils

- Includes periodical articles, books, government publications, patents and more. UNCG Library holds a limited number of the items indexed

- Provides citations and abstracts on population studies, family planning, and related health issues, including family planning technology, fertility, and population law and policy.
- International in scope.
- Covers journals, books, newspapers, conference papers, dissertations, unpublished technical reports, and more.
- Dates of coverage: 1970 to present
