- LexisNexis Academic provides the best coverage of newspapers (beyond the half dozen national newspapers covered by a few other databases) by covering many newspapers from throughout the country and newswires.
- It is also the best database for legal information (case law and journal articles from law reviews).
- Another feature important for broadcasting and cinema topics is the Polls and Surveys section in the broad category of Reference. Includes reviews of motion pictures and television programs.
- Browse the five major categories—News, Business, Legal Research, Medical, and Reference—to see what the database offers. Also note that the default search covers only the last six months. Generally you will need to change that to more appropriate time periods.
