Description: Macat is a new educational technology platform that provides analysis by experts on texts that are generally considered classics of the cannon, from The Art of War by Sun Tzu and The Souls of Black Folk by W.E.B. Dubois to Simon de Beauvior’s The Second Sex and On Liberty by John Stuart Mill. Each analysis is around 12,500 words long and is written by an active scholar in the relevant discipline, working at one of the world’s elite universities. Each is also accompanied by a short introductory film that explains the ideas at the heart of the seminal work by way of an analogy, and by mind maps showing how the ideas it contains are structured.
