Allow us a moment to explain a few things. First, although we are calling this issue the "Millenium Issue," we are fully aware that the Millenium doesn't actually start until the year 2001 (and even then, not for everyone on the planet). We have made a conscious and informed decision to jump on the media/Madison Avenue bandwagon and flaunt the calendar. So there.
Second, that faucet that you'll find on most of the pages of the "Jackson Leaks" is supposed to be leaking, get it? However, the animation is very fast on lots of computers, and actually appears to be a torrential outpouring of water, under an enormous amount of pressure. We ask that you constitute a little poetic intention here, and envision a leaking faucet. Clicking on the words "Jackson Leaks" will return you to this page.
Third, we would like to know how many people would prefer the "Leaks" on the web, and how many would prefer to receive it in paper, despite the sound of screaming trees. We'll be asking again, via e-mail, before the Spring edition, but feel free to voice your opinion to one or both of us before that time as well.
Fourth, thanks to all who contributed. Photographs found in this issue of the Jackson Leaks are courtesy of University Archives, Modgie Jeffers, Fran Rubio, Paul Hessling, Amy McKee, Patricia Black, Bob Gaines, Edward Waters, Laura Hayworth, Tina Lovings, and a few who wish to remain anonymous (or Lillian can't remember)! Finally, we hope that each of you has a wonderful break and a very enjoyable holiday season!
