The safety and well-being of our users is of prime concern to the Library staff. The building is equipped with a closed-circuit video surveillance system. Individual alarms, which are worn by the user, are connected to the Library Security Guard's Desk and the Police Department. When the alarm is activated, alarms sound throughout the building as well as alert authorities. These alarms are available at the Circulation Desk. Wall telephones are located on each floor of the Tower by the elevators. These telephones may be used to connect the user to the Circulation Desk. Members of the Campus Police Department circulate throughout the building on a regular, but unscheduled basis.
Any behavior that makes users uncomfortable should be reported immediately to the Circulation Desk, the Security Guard at the front entrance, or to any Library employee.
